Algonquin College is situated in the capital city of Canada - Ottawa. Established in 1967, Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology was named after the First Nations people who lived in this area. The college was established from the merger of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology, which was established in 1957, and the Ontario Vocational Centre, which was established in 1965.
This brilliant college is now over 50 years old and continues to grow even today. There are 3 campuses, namely, Ottawa, Perth and Pembroke. Each one of them has recently completed major expansion projects. You will find that the two campuses in Perth and Pembroke are equipped with latest facilities. The Ottawa Campus also features a new and innovative DARE District and Library.
